On April, 20th-2009 Russian Kynological Federation recognized Biewers officially to be a separate breed. According to the decision made by the Breed Committee of Russian Kynological Federation the name of the breed in Russia is “ Biewer”.

As decided by the Dog Show Committee of Russian Kynological Federation since the date of the breed`s recognition Biewers are allowed to participate in RKF dog shows and represent group 9 under RKF dog classification. Since the breed`s official recognition Biewers’ import pedigrees have been registered by RKF as well as new litters born in Russia.
